“In between the growing anticipation for Sharknado 2: The Second One to cap off Sharknado Week and the annual excitement over Shark Week, it certainly feels like these ancient aquatic species are getting plenty of press. But activist, conservationist and filmmaker Madison Stewart thinks those television events are more harmful than helpful to the ocean’s sharks. So instead, the 20-year old worked with the Smithsonian Channel and Canada’s Blue Ant Media to put together a documentary about her life

with sharks—starting at the age of 12 when she first began diving with them and feeding them.”
